Introduction
Mental Health Champions are people who have a good awareness of mental health, and in doing so are able to encourage positive mental health in both wider society and work.
A Mental Health Champion isn't intended to replace important roles such as trained mental health professional or even that of a workplace Human Resource (HR) team. They are there to work alongside those people and organisations to promote positive an environment for all, including the provision of wellbeing activities, providing light touch support those in need, and where appropriate, sign-posting those in need to further, more experienced professionals. Completing this course will help provide you with the underpinning knowledge and skills to fulfil that role of Mental Health Champion. However, this course is just the start, and your development journey in this area can continue once back in the workplace implementing some of the great ideas and initiatives included in this course.
